We have 3 dogs for the moment. 2 female and 1 male.

Hamiltonstövare and 1 mixedbreed female.

Hamiltonstövare male dog is named Dennis or in the papers his name is Zorro (much to silly name for a dog, my opinion )

and the other stövare is Silja .

Our mixdogs name is Flisan and she is 3waymixed. Beagle,Dachshund,Gråhund.

Dennis is born 3/5-2003, Silja 19/6-2005, Flisan 5/6-2001.

We did not bring Silja to any show becuse she needs to be trained to be around people but other dogs to.She will be shown in spring 2007 and in August.

We plan to breed her in Feb 2008.

Silja has shown a very good hunting skill. Mostly on hare but also a bit for fox. My husband has shoot 3hares for her so far.

Flisan is a very good hunting dog ,she hunt both hare and  roe deer but also fox.

New photos in dogs album. Today (1/4)2007 we decide to castrate Dennis before the summer. Reason for that (partly) is that Dennis are to affected both physique and psychic. In other words he have a very bad time when the females is in heat. And we also i can add.

We are gonna choose another male dog for Silja when she goes in heat in 2008.

So ...  25/4 will be the last day for Dennis to be a full male dog....  At 10 AM he will  be send to sleep and 1 hour and 30 minutes later he will wake up as a castrated boy...

Today is the first day to let the stövare hunt again. We choose to take Silja in action.

She was so happy that she could come with Thomas and my father that she scream in joy when the hunting collar  came out. And off they go...  1 hour later Thomas came back and said that Silja has been bitten by a snake. And he took the car to get her. We called the veterinarian and drove away.

She was very tired,swollen,and  shocked.

At the veterinary, she got quite fast cortison and antibiotic injection. We got also a 8 respective 9 days' treatment with us home.

She was very drowsy in approximately 2-3 days later. But now after 9 days she is entirely restored physics . She drinks  a lot still but will  become normal with it also. She will  not have full activation before earliest about 8-9 weeks. Then, she will soft starting again.
